PURPOSE

To teach students about the profession of film-making by telling stories. How does one transform a theme into a screenplay for a film?

The cinematographic text- the comunication of sounds and images through words
The human process of creation
Ways of working
The structure of the screenplay

During the workshop , we will analize a film in which we will look for concrete examples of the ideas being discussed

· Screenplays : "O Detetive Português" de Stefan Wohl, "Por Tudo Quanto é mais Sagrado " by Roberto Bakker, "Noel " by Domingos de Oliveira, "O Imperdível Bento " by Joaquim Pedro de Andrade, " Villa Lobos " by Zelito Viana, "Pedro e Luíza " by Lauro Escorel, O Toque do Oboé " by Cláudio Macdowell, "Confissões de Adolescente " with Maria Mariana, "Quem? " by Rui Guerra.

· Screenwriter contacted by TV Globo from 1983-1991 , wrote various television dramas for the program "Quarta Nobre" , was one of the screenwriters of the series "Roque Santeiro", was a permanent member of the "Casa de Criação" directed by Dias Gomes, and auther of various mini-series like "O Homem que Pagou Sua Dívida".
