Malu De Martino

Malu De Martino has graduated in Communications at the Hélio Alonso University in 1979. In 1983 and 1984 she has studied at the Global Village New School / NY (Advanced Intensive Video), in Downtown Community Television Center / NY (Editing), in Young Filmakers, Video Arts / NY (Lighting for Film and Video) and at New School TV Academy / NY (Videotape Post-Production).

Since then she has directed several cultural, institutional and documentary videos.
In 2001 she directed the 34' documentary film "Ismael & Adalgisa", which has received awards of Best Film by critics and popular jury at the Cuiabá Film Festival (2003), Best Photography at the Recife Film Festival (2002) and Best Art Direction at the Vitória Film Festival(2002).

Malu De Martino directed the 30' film documentary "Sexualidades" (Sexualities) - featuring actress Giulia Gam.

2002 |

Malu de Martino directed the DVD " MPBR Meetings" - with several Brazilian Popular Music music stars.

2001 |

Medium lenght film "Ismael & Adalgisa" - Docufiction about the painter Ismael Nery and the writer, journalist e poetess Adalgisa Nery. With Christiane Torloni and Murilo Rosa. (35 mm, 33')
