80 years old Avelino works for almost 60 years as a restaurant manager at Copacabana beach, Rio de Janeiro. His life was always the same, until he was retrenched. This surprise came as a shock to the whole family. Avelino suddenly decided to change his life and divorced his wife, Enide, whom he was married to for the last 60 years. At the same time, the couple’s only child, Fernando, is shifting from Rio de Janeiro to Sao Paulo. Fernando’s adolescent daughter, Luiza, refuses to make the move and decides to stay with her mother, whom she has a conflicting relationship. On the very first day she moves in with her mother, Luiza tattoos her six years old sister. Luiza ends up living with her grandfather Avelino, and a funny, unexpected and deep relationship develops.
