EH! FILMES WAS FOUNDED IN 1994 BY ELISA TOLOMELLI.
Graduated in Advertising, Elisa Tolomelli’s experience within the film industry has surpassed 25 years. During this time she had the opportunity to work in many different areas of cinema and television production including script writing, direction, production and distribution.
As a line producer, she was responsible for major international box offices such as” Central Station”, by Walter Salles Jr. and “City of God” by Fernando Meirelles, which was nominated for the Oscar in 4 categories (Best Director, Photography, Editing and Screenplay).
EH! Filmes was established in 1994. It has produced a few motion pictures including “Dead in the Water” by Gustavo Lipsztein, “So Hard to Forget” and “Margaret Mee and the Moon Flower” both by Malu de Martino and “The Moving Forest” by Vinicius Coimbra.
Between 1992 and 1996, Elisa acted as Commercial Director at Riofilmes and was responsible for the distribution of over 30 films, including “Foreign Land” by Walter Salles Jr. and “The Nutty Boy” by Helvecio Ratton. This experience lead to the creation of EH! Filmes Distributor, and since 2013 many films have
been distributed including ‘Margaret Mee and the Moon Flower’ by Malu de Martino and ‘Transtime’ by
EH! Filmes has also produced television programs for the Futura Channel, such as ‘Urban Feature’ and ‘The Art of being a Musician’, both by Rosi Fer.
Graduated in Social Communication, with majors in Advertising and Journalism, since 2000 Thais Mello has been involved in a variety of functions related to audio-visual productions.
As an executive producer she was responsible for films such as ‘Women of Brazil’ by Malu de Martino, ‘Stolen Dreams’ by Sandra Werneck, ‘The Lord of the Labyrinth’ by Geraldo Motta, ‘The Moving Forest’ by Vinicius Coimbra and the awarded short film “Viva Volta’ by Heloisa Passos.
On TV Thais has been involved in the production of advertising campaigns of major brands such as OMO, Dove, Bradesco as well as the television talk and interview show ‘Vai e Vem’ – ‘Come and Go’ screened at GNT Channel directed by Tiago Worcman.
She has also been responsible for the production and executive production of major Brazilian singers such as Alcione, Emílio Santiago, Ivan Lins, Seu Cuca and Celebrare amongst many others.
In Distribution, she was the Production Manager at H2O Films, and also played a major role launching Lumiere Distributor as a Marketing and Media Assessor.

TO BE OR NOT TO BE
Duda, close to her 30th birthday, sees herself struggling between coming out and face her mother conservative attitudes, or lose her true love. Set in Rio de Janeiro, “To Be or not to Be” depicts conflicts, questionings and current social idiosyncrasies that are common to our cosmopolitan urban society. Raised in a traditional Italian background, the protagonist is passionate by her work, a mix of writing and football, which also goes against her sexual orientation. But her character helps her adapt to both work and family environment. She keeps moving on with life, without realising she has created a prison – a wardrobe – where she hides.

JORGE AND ZÉLIA – A STORY
OF LOVE AND EXILE
This series will tell part of Jorge Amado e Zélia Gattai’s story, both writers, who have lived for almost 60 years a rare love story. Zélia Gattai’s “Um chapéu para viagem” e “Senhora dona do baile”; both her autobiographies, have been used as a background to set the series. As a woman, she was ahead of her time, and her narrative was full of spirit. The series is set between 1942 and 1948, during Dutra’s Government, well known for their hatred towards the Brazilian Communist Party. Part drama, part romance, Jorge e Zelia, - a history of love and exile, combines history , the couple’s romance, a touch of an ironic sense of humour while depicting reality.

DOLORES DURAN – THE HAPPY DAME OF THE SAD SOONGS
To recreate Dolores Duran trajectory is to recover a foundation block of Brazil’s cultural history, specially in regards to the popular Brazilian music. It is to redeem a period in our city’s history in a time that preceded Bossa Nova and an opportunity to maintain our musical memory, which is a crucial step to understand the Brazilian history. Dolores Duran has received very little acknowledgement towards her music but her voice crossed boundaries and generations. “Because of You’ ( Por Causa de Você) with Tom Jobim, was sung by Frank Sinatra. Dolores Duran has inspired singers such as Lúcio Alves, Nara Leão, Maysa, Milton Nascimento, Roberto Carlos, Nana Caymmi, Gal Costa, Ângela Rô Rô, Carlos Lyra e tantos outros.

RENZO GRACIE’S LEGEND
Renzo Gracie’s life and his positive attitude are the crucial aspects of this series. Presented by Renzo himself, and the people who are part of his life journey since his childhood, the protagonist drives around Rio de Janeiro, his birthplace, visiting memorable places of his adolescence and retell his life journey. In New York the athlete continues to tell his story by touring the city, and to finalise, we arrive in New Jersey. Together with his wife and three children, Renzo talks about the initial difficulty when they first arrived in the USA, showing the first house they lived in, considered the worse of the entire neighbourhood, and his current home at the sophisticated suburb or Holmdel.

HUMOR - CEARÁ
We travel to Ceará to find out why the state is the biggest producer of humor in Brazil . And the data confirms it: Ceará is the birthplace of Chico Anysio, Renato Aragão, Tom Cavalcante, Tiririca, Falcão amongst hundreds of houmorists. In the capital there are tenths of daily shows and presentations. Ceará hosts the Humor Festival (12th edition), there is the Humor Theatre, Thursdays Humor Nights, humor on the streets, at the beach, even on the bus. The series will trace back the origins of humor in the state of Ceará, where a mixture of circus, ‘vaudeville’, silent movie, and many other styles coexist . The story of the famous humorists mentioned earlier, through interviews with family members and work colleagues, as well as the new generation of comedians Zé Modesto, Ery Soares, Adamastor Pitaco, Scolástica, Rossicléia, Mastrogilda, Lailtinho Brega, Bené Barbosa, Wellington Muniz, o Ceará will be introduced.

Achieve higher education and a better quality of life is the dream of millions of young Brazilians born in a low social class. The youngsters know that studying is extremely important to get into a job market that, each day, is more competitive. To achieve a promising job one has to have more knowledge, more courses and more titles. That is why so much study is needed to be able to get a good job. This documentary series will explore the scenario of less affluent youth who, through lots of hard work, get into Higher Education. The documentaries will reveal the profile of those youngsters and how education has changed their lives, as well as their families, who,
through from their children’s progress have also enjoyed benefits in both social and financial areas. This program will question also their choices in terms of study, if education only leads to a better job or if impacted in other areas of their lives, if finalising a degree will really help climb the social ladder and if a higher education helps the individual develop better understanding in regards to our society and politics. This series will present who are those youngster and the changes that higher education has brought to their lives in 5 documentaries of 26 minutes each, where two students of a low social scale who studied at public schools enter university and graduate.

LOVE IS BLUE
Based on Sildenafil de Reinaldo de Moraes’ short story Love Is Blue is an intelligent comedy that tells the story of an average middle aged couple who have lived a long relationship, and lost the sparkle they had for each other on the early stages of their relationship. Maria Helena, an intense active working woman and Horácio, a retired public worker with very little energy for daily activities, and even less for love. On their wedding anniversary Maria Helena convinces the husband to look for some stimulus outside to reignite their love. Love Is Blue brings out to scene all the issues associated to long term relationships that are currently being debated by society and the brevity of current relationships.
