Elisa Tolomelli

Elisa Tolomelli has had a long and distinguished career in the film industry. Elisa studied advertising and communications and has worked in motion pictures for the last fifteen years. During this time she has accumulated experiences in many different aspects of filmmaking including screenwriting, directing, production, distribution and exhibition.

She produced “Central Station” for director Walter Salles Jr. which won 33 international awards including the Golden Globe for Best Foreign Film, the Gold Bear (Best Film) at the Berlin Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award for best foreign film in 1998.

Her latest film “City Of God” was nominated for the Golden Globes and BAFTA Best Foreign Film awards, and won over 16 other awards including the Audience Award at the AFI film festival. It won more than 52 international awards and was nominated for the Oscar in 4 categories (Best Director, Photography, Editing and Screenplay).
